Wigan school for the Arts
I am currently working on a brief to rebrand my college, Wigan school for the Arts. Being set the task of a new identity I am to separate us from the name Wigan and Leigh and show our individuality as a different building. Producing creative and influential pieces of work each day, surely we deserve it. I know we've earnt it!
To begin with I am to kick start the research phase, the key to good design is always a background bed of research to fall onto. For a good solid few weeks I will be researching into my general interests and then into related subjects. Subjects being logos, patterns,crests,colours and advertising.
After the first of research next on the list is to look into actual prospectus' after all i'll be making one!
I started with my designs, looking into different techniques, this time with paint for a change, after choosing my desired format I the looked into typefaces to produce my 'Identity'.
After Emailing the company behind promotions at the Grand Arcade I (after a few bad ones) got a good reply, regarding dates when possible and prices. Now to move on to my computer generated to help my proposal.

Just before the Christmas holidays, hand in day was due. I managed to complete all my presentation work and also some documentation to tell what I have actually done over the course of the brief.
Soon Luigi (outside Designer) will be coming into the college for us to present to and also have a brief interview with too.
